    Exciting entry level position with PSI working with our Virtual Therapy team as a proctor/therapy assistant! 

     

    This position would cover 2 local schools in the Dayton area and would assist the therapist by escorting students to therapy,  assisting with use of software program, observing children and collecting worksheets etc.   This is not a teaching position but rather more of a aide role and would be for the 2018-2019 school year.

     

    PSI works with area schools to provide educational and health-care support needed for students.  School leaders have relied on PSI for nearly 4 decades to provide qualified professionals to address the various needs of their student populations.

    Responsibilities

    Specific duties may vary depending upon the building AND student to which PSI staff is assigned as well as the roles of each position. Among the professional duties of an Educational Aide are the following:

    • Assist the Virtual Therapy team with preparation, monitoring, and delivery of curriculum to individuals and small groups of students. 
    • Assist individuals and small groups with logging on and using system for services.
    • Ensure that student and groups are engaged and participating in services
    • Supervising student from classroom to therapy, during session and back to class.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • HS Diploma or GED required
    • Experience working as aide with school age children preferred
    • Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written
    • Excellent attention to detail to be able to assist children as needed
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members. 
    • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job
    • Demonstrated ability to assists a teacher by performing duties including the supervision of pupils and assisting with instructional tasks
    • If hired, candidate must complete a BCI/FBI Background check
