    PSI is looking for an energetic, passionate and dedicated Payroll Assistant to work in our Twinsburg Administrative Office.  This person will support our Payroll Manager in the day to day payroll operations for over 1000 employees.  In addition to a competitive salary, we offer Health and Prescription benefits, 401k, Paid Holidays and a generous PTO Program.

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews employee time-sheets and confirms with department managers and supervisors for completeness and accuracy of the time-sheets when needed
    • Manages payroll related forms and information such as W-4, garnishments, pay rate change form, and other payroll deductions
    • Responsible for responding to all payroll related questions from employees and management
    • Handles new employee paperwork including direct deposit, W-4's and I-9's
    • Performs benefits administration; claims resolutions, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees
    • Provides state and government reports as required
    • Works on projects and assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will possess the following:

     

    • AA degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.  Years of payroll experience may be used in lieu of degree.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years high volume payroll processing experience, using an Internet based system required.
    • Knowledge of payroll regulations such as federal and state wage and hour laws.
    • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as the ability to run reports and customize reports on demand.
    • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
    • Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
    • Ability to exercise discretion in all transactions, maintaining confidentiality in all communications and job duties.
