    We are working with area schools to provide 1:1 educational aide support for the 2017/2018 school year with the possibility to continue into the 2018/2019 school year.  Experience teaching or working 1:1 with behavioral students strongly preferred.   Positions are full time and benefit eligible!

    Specific duties may vary depending upon the building to which PSI staff is assigned as well as the roles of each position. Among the professional duties of an Educational Aide are the following:

    • Assist the Special Education and/or General Education Teacher in the preparation, monitoring, and delivery of curriculum to individuals and small groups of students. 
    • Teach individuals and small groups by correctly utilizing instructional materials and techniques in readiness skills, reading, spelling, written language, math, social studies, science, fine motor skills, memory skills, and other areas.
    • Provide accommodations, modifications, and interventions to students identified as having a disability and qualifying for special education services.
    • Use appropriate behavior management techniques to support a high-quality learning environment for assigned students.
    • Accept training and guidance from teachers, administrators, and other staff members regarding provision of educational supports to enhance achievement.
    • Support the achievement of non-identified students by providing support and instruction as requested by other school staff.


    **Professional duties may vary depending upon the building to which PSI staff is assigned.  Specific duties are assigned by PSI in consultation with school and/or district personnel. 



    • Experience working as an Educational Aide, a Teacher’s Assistant, or a Tutor strongly preferred
    • Ability to work as part of a team to provide exceptional service to students.    
    • Collaborative, constructive team building skills are required
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members. 
    • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job
    • Demonstrated ability to assists a teacher by performing duties including the supervision of pupils and assisting with instructional tasks
    • If hired, candidate must complete a BCI/FBI Background check as well as obtain an Educational Aid Permit through the Ohio Department of Education if hired for the position
