  • Under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse, the Health Aid will assist in providing services to student in a 1:1 capacity including feeding, toileting and other ADL's as needed
  • The Health Aid will monitor student health needs and provide appropriate health interventions and services to students under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. 
  • Assist the Registered Nurse with students’ health needs
  • Administer prescribed medications in accordance with school board policy, ORC 3313-713, and PSI policy.
  • Provide first aid in accordance with established first aid procedures

**Specific duties vary depending on the building to which PSI staff is assigned as well as the roles of each position


  • STNA certification, CNA or previous school health aide experience required
  • Maturity, professionalism and strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required 
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Knowledge of  communicable disease prevention and medication protocol preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA laws & ability to appropriately handle confidential information
  • Collaborative, constructive team building skills are required
  • Current CPR and First Aide certification OR be willing to obtain during the orientation period.  
  • Will be required to pass a comprehensive background check including FBI and BCI check.
