Intervention Specialist


PSI Solutions is looking for Full Time and Part Time intervention Specialists / Special Education Teachers to work in elementary and high school drop out recovery schools in COLUMBUS, OHIO for the 2017/2018 school year.  Positions include a very competetive salary (UP TO $45.00 an hour!)**  as well as the potential for a year end bonus!

Qualified candidates must have a valid Special Education/Intervention Specialist license in the state of Ohio.  ** Candidates will be compensated based on their level of education, credentials and experiences.

Responsibilities for a Special Education Teacher/Intervention Specialist for PSI Solutions:

  • Provide accommodations, interventions and specialized instruction to students that qualify for special education
  • Take part in the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Service Plans (SPs) and other Intervention Programs
  • Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path to greatness
  • Create and distribute regular progress reports to monitor the effectiveness of instructional practices
  • Create a safe, productive classroom environment

*Specific duties are assigned by PSI solution in consultation with school and/or district personnel.  


Qualifications for a Special Education Teacher/Intervention Specialist for PSI Solutions:

  • Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist License in Ohio
  • Alternative Resident Educator License ODE Certification
  • Experience teaching in special education environment
  • Experience with ETRs and IATs and writing IEPs and ISPs
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, compassionate personality
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and sound judgment
