Overview

PSI is looking for an experienced ESL teacher to work in a local charter school in the Columbus area.  This position would be for 4 hours per week for the 2017/2018 school year.   

 

 

PSI contracts with area schools to provide educational and health-care support needed for students.  You would be a PSI employee assigned to an assigned school/s for the entire school year. School leaders have relied on PSI for nearly 4 decades to provide qualified professionals to address the various needs of their student populations.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct English according to best practices and research-based methods.
  • Provide language instruction that supports multiple learning styles and ability levels
  • Align language lesson plans with the school’s approved curriculum and educational standards.
  • Work in conjunction with families to support goals for student language development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have a current ODE teaching license AND ability to obtain ESL endorsement
  • Must have experience teaching English as a Second language
  • TESOL endorsement strongly preferred
  • Collaborative, constructive team building skills are required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members. 
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job
