Overview

PSI is looking for an energetic, passionate and dedicated Payroll Assistant to work in our Twinsburg office.  This person will support our Payroll Manager in managing the payroll process and required reporting involved.

Responsibilities

  • Collects employee timesheets and confirms with department managers and supervisors for completeness and accuracy of the timesheets
  • Manages payroll related forms and information such as W-4, garnishments, pay rate change form, and other payroll deductions
  • Responsible for responding to all payroll related questions from employees and management
  • Accurately creates payroll reports and other payroll related reports
  • Handles new employee paperwork 
  • Performs benefits administration; claims resolutions, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees
  • Provides state and government reports as required
  • Works on projects and assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following:

 

  • AA degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years high volume (at least 300 employees) payroll processing experience, using an Internet based system.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations such as federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as the ability to run reports and custom reports on demand.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience consistently going above and beyond in the workplace.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in all transactions, maintaining confidentiality in all communications and job duties.
  • Able to work with a wide variety of employees and personalities.  Ability to treat all employees in an effective and professional manner at all times
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
