Overview

PSI is looking for a School Psychologist in the Youngstown area to work  2-3 days per week for the 2017/2018 school year in an elementary school setting.   Come see why our employees say PSI is a Top Workplace!!    

 

 

PSI contracts with area schools to provide educational and health-care support needed for students.  You would be a PSI employee assigned to an assigned school/s for the entire school year. Responsibilities

  • Participate in Response to Intervention/ Intervention Assistance Teams
  • Multi-factored evaluation and IEP activities
  • Individual or small group counseling for students
  • Social and academic skills training programs
  • Preparation and submission of accountability data including Case Reports/MFE Team Reports, summaries of services, and periodic progress reports for students receiving school psychology services

***Professional duties may vary depending upon the building to which PSI staff is assigned. Specific duties are assigned by PSI in consultation with school and/or district personnel. 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in School Psychology or Clinical Psychology is required
  • License to practice in the State of Ohio preferred
  • Must have experience with cognitive, achievement and behavioral assessment instruments
  • Must be well-versed in applicable state and federal law
  • Experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
  • Collaborative, constructive team building skills are required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members. 
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job
