PSI is looking for a Remedial Teacher/Tutor to work 10 hours a week during the school day with elementary aged children.  




PSI works with area schools to provide educational and health-care support needed for students.  School leaders have relied on PSI for nearly 4 decades to provide qualified professionals to address the various needs of their student populations.

  • Collaborate with other staff members and parents/guardians in order to create and implement remedial instructional planning and/or other intervention programs
  • Provide accommodations and specialized instruction according to student needs.
  • As directed by administrators, provide teachers, parents, and the school with periodic written progress notes for students served.
  • Ensure that parents have given consent to all support services provided by the Remedial/ Title 1 teacher.
  • Administer formative and summative progress evaluations to demonstrate effectiveness of instructional practices.

Specific duties vary depending on the building to which PSI staff is assigned as well as the roles of each position.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have a current ODE teaching license
  • Must have teaching experience; Title 1 or remedial teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Must be HQT in reading
  • Must be well-versed in applicable state and federal law
  • Collaborative, constructive team building skills are required
